- Q: How do I book a detailing service
A: Booking is easy! You can contact us online, email us at cleanme@detailingsheriffs.co.nz, or drop by our Penrose studio for a quote.
- Q: Can you handle pet hair, sand, or very dirty cars?
A: Yes! We can deep clean vehicles with heavy soiling, pet hair, or sand. Please note that extra charges may apply for extreme conditions.
- Q: Will detailing help increase resale value?
A: Absolutely. A clean, detailed vehicle presents better to buyers and can increase its resale price. It shows the car has been cared for and is in excellent condition.
- Q: Do you use your own products?
A: Yes — we only use professional-grade products that we trust, including SB3 Coatings for ceramic protection. All of the products we use are also available for sale in our studio.
- Q: Can detailing remove scratches and swirl marks?
A: Yes! Light scratches and swirl marks can often be removed through paint correction and polishing. For deep scratches, we can recommend repair or touch-up solutions.
- Q: Do I need to drop off my car, or do you offer mobile detailing?
A: Our detailing services are carried out at our Penrose studio in Auckland, where we have the right tools and environment for the best results. Mobile options may be available for fleet or special bookings — contact us to discuss.
- Q: How long does a full detail take?
A: Our Full Works Detail typically takes 5–6 hours. Smaller packages such as an interior or exterior detail can take 2–4 hours. Larger and difficult vehicles can take 7-8 hours. Times can vary depending on your car’s size and condition.
- Q: How often should I have my car detailed?
A: We recommend a full detail every 3–6 months, depending on how often you drive and your car’s exposure to dirt and environmental elements. Vehicles with ceramic coatings may only need light maintenance details in between.
- Q: What is car detailing and how is it different from a regular car wash?
A: Car detailing is a deep cleaning and restoration process for your vehicle, inside and out. Unlike a basic car wash, detailing includes thorough cleaning, polishing, stain and tar removal, and protective treatments like wax or ceramic coatings. It helps keep your car looking new and protects its value.
